26 tahun yang lalu, di sebuah ruang kelas 3 di SMP, ada seorang siswi bernama Misaki. Sebagai siswi teladan yang atletik, gadis tersebut menjadi populer di kalangan teman sekelas dan juga sekolahnya. Ketika tiba-tiba ia meninggal, teman sekelasnya memutuskan untuk menganggap dirinya masih hidup sampai hari kelulusan. Lalu, pada musim semi tahun 1998, seorang siswa bernama Sakakibara Kouichi pindah ke kelas itu dan mulai mencurigai aroma ketakutan dalam kelas tersebut. Kemudian ia bertemu dengan siswi bernama Misaki Mei, “orang yang tidak ada”. Apa yang sebenarnya terjadi? Saksikan!
